We've created new blocks and templates for In-App Messages. Would love some feedback
Hi all
In the drag&drop in-app editor, we created tools to enhance our own campaigns. The impact of this extension on our teams convinced us to release it as an extension to help other marketers achieve the same results.
Video embedding (YouTube, Vimeo, and MP4), countdown timers, interactive scratch-to-reveal coupons, animated counters, auto-close messages, copy-to-clipboard coupon codes, an In-App Messages template library and import/export email templates are just a few of the features included in this extension. Each tool is crafted to help marketers create more dynamic, engaging content—no coding required!
This extension is available in the Chrome extension store:

Would love any feedback you have on this extension, including ideas for more features. Our goal is to make these useful tools for all Braze users.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
A survey block (and a slideshow) are coming soon. - AllanHeoFNMVisionary
LiorPelegThis is SO COOL. We didn't even know this was possible. Thanks so much for sharing!

AllanHeoFNMThank you!
We’d love to hear your feedback or any ideas for new features.
Since our first post, we’ve added the option to export and import email templates - a feature requested by several users.

I saw this as I was playing around with the feature. Would love to connect and chat further!

Just gave this a shot, and think it is super cool and impressive that you all were able to build a chrome extension that allows you to do more things with the Braze IAM DnD editor (which is pretty limited right now).
Would love some more customization options around fonts, button properties (rounding edges, adjusting width and height, etc.). But still, SO COOL!

Thank you so much for your feedback!
We are excited to share that we will soon be releasing a new version that includes a randomization option in surveys - this was a popular request and we are happy to add it.
Additionally we will be introducing a new slider block.
After that we will work on implementing your suggestion options for customizing fonts and button styles
This looks like a great addition! I’ve tested a few of the features, and the countdown timers and copy-to-clipboard coupons are especially useful. One suggestion: it would be great to have more customization options for the animated counters (e.g., fonts and colors). Looking forward to seeing how this evolves!

Hi godofprogrammer,
Thank you very much for your feedback!
Yesterday we released a new version that now includes font selection support.
We would greatly appreciate any further comments and suggestions for improvement.

Thank you! It is very useful (especially the video block).
Are there any plans to add a survey block?

I’ve already tested the extension, and I think it has great potential. I’m currently using the video block, scratch card, and the import/export email templates features, which have been very helpful. I also reached out to the developer to share some recommendations for additional features. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves

Hi LiorPeleg -- how do you use the SurveyBlock to record different custom events depending on which answer a user selects? Right now it seems you can only log one custom event per survey response. I would want to log one custom event if a user responds sign me up and a different one if they respond no thanks for example

Hicrowejustin,
That’s a good question. Currently, we allow saving only one event (mainly intended to serve as a trigger), and you can save the response in a custom attribute.
This way, the event can act as the trigger, and the condition will be based on the response saved in the custom attribute.
In the next version, we will add the option to send the response as a property to the event, enabling you to filter the trigger for journey entry accordingly.

One other thought: if you can think of any way to make the drag and drop editor work on custom css that would be AWESOME. I'm struggling to get the in browser messages to be more customizable on that front. I want to be able to do things like floating notifications, corner tabs, etc but I can only get so far even with custom html. Let me know what you think :)

We’re planning to add an option that lets you control each of the blocks in the drag & drop using CSS.
You can already add a custom HTML block containing styles and CSS, and target specific elements to style them.
Keep in mind that there are some things you can’t fully control on the drag & drop level. It’s loaded inside its own iframe, and there are settings outside that iframe you can’t modify (for example, the background behind it, which always exists and prevents us from showing notifications that don’t restrict usage like you can with a regular slider).
I hope that one day Braze will add more control options for this.
