Can we disable Global Email Subscription Group in Braze?

Hello Folks,

We would like to use only "Subscription Groups" by bypassing Global level Email Subscription Group

is there a possibility of disabling/bypassing the "Global level Email Subscription Group" in Braze?

    Ahh, thank you for the additional context here. That's actually one key issue for why it's not recommended to use the Email Subscription Groups as a custom Push Subscription Group. 

    DaveSachs This is the exact same approach you tried a while ago, correct? 

    Unfortunately, it's not possible to disable the Global subscription group. You may have to utilize custom attributes to build this custom push subscription group. Best of luck!

    Hi Bhavesh ,

    The Global Email Subscription Status won't get in the way of you using the Subscription Groups. There's no way to get rid of them/disable them; they'll simply just exist, and you won't use them in you segmentation. 

    Did you have any specific concerns about the global email statuses? Please let me know!

      Thanks for your response.
      Unsubscribing from the Global Email Subscription Group will automatically unsubscribe the user from all other email and push notification subscription groups (we are going to utilize for Push notifications), which is not the desired outcome. Therefore, disabling the Global subscription group is a viable solution
