A Guide to Ranks in Bonfire
Ranks in the Bonfire community are based on your level of engagement—the more you participate, the higher your ranking. As you advance up the ranks, you'll unlock additional rewards. When we launched Bonfire, we launched with twenty one total ranks. We’re simplifying the structure to make advancement more achievable. You’ll notice that the updated rank structure includes just ten. In addition to pairing down the number of ranks, we’ve updated the rank names to better reflect your progress.
The updated ranking structure is:
- New Member (the first rank you achieve at registration time)
- Member
- Contributor
- Connector
- Collaborator
- Supporter
- Influencer
- Mentor
- Expert
- Visionary (the highest rank you can achieve)
Each of these ranks corresponds to your activity and engagement within the community. The initial ranks emphasize your passive participation, such as sign-ins, page views, and likes. You'll achieve higher ranks through more active participation, including accepting solutions, replying to discussions, and creating blogs. The best way to quickly move up in rank is by taking those active participation actions: liking posts, responding to posts, accepting solutions when you see correct answers posted, and creating your own posts.
Where to find your rank
Your current rank will appear next to your username as you post or participate within the community. You can also see your rank on your user profile under “Role.”
