Job Description: We are seeking a data-driven Lifecycle Experience Specialist. In this role, you will guide the user’s journey and maximize the value our users derive from Brain.fm. By leveraging your expertise in lifecycle communications, data analysis, and user behavior, you will drive strategic initiatives to increase listener engagement, reduce churn, and improve overall user satisfaction.

This role involves both communications and product development as relates to the user lifecycle. The ideal candidate will feel equally comfortable designing and testing email flows, analyzing data to recommend modifying our trial period, or advising the product team on the in-app cancellation flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end user lifecycle experience, from onboarding to retention and re-engagement, with a focus on maximizing user value and driving revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive lifecycle communications strategies to increase user activations and decrease churn rates, leveraging various communication channels including email, push notifications, and in-app messages.
  • Analyze user data and behavior to identify opportunities for improvement and develop targeted initiatives to optimize the user journey and re-capture dormant users.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to implement enhancements to the product experience that positively impact the user lifecycle, such as optimizing trial lengths, plan upgrades, and cancellation flows.
  • Iterate on branding and communication style to ensure alignment with company values and user preferences, driving continuous improvement in user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Monitor and track key performance metrics relating to the user lifecycle, from funnel conversion to detailed behaviors. Develop actionable insights from this data and execute on them to improve our user’s experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in Lifecycle, CRM, or similar positions.
  • Proficiency in Braze (essential) and experience with analytics platforms such as Amplitude or similar.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS lifecycle fundamentals, including funnel analysis and data interpretation.
  • Extensive experience with A/B testing and methodologies for experimentation and optimization of product communications.
  • Data-driven mindset; develops dashboards to monitor results, seeks to cross-validate data when redundant sources are available, flexibly adapts plans and projects based on new data.
  • Experience with customer segmentation and personalized communications strategies.
  • Proficiency in basic HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for the customization of communications.
  • Excellent design sensibility and attention to detail, with a focus on creating visually appealing and engaging user experiences.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and results to stakeholders.
